Selecting a building site that fits your lifestyle is possibly the most critical step in the new home building process. Your choice in land will shape your home in surprising ways, depending on whether you choose a lot in a residential development, choose a site on several acres, choose a lake front property with a spectacular view, or anything in between. We will meet with you on your property to help select the best placement or site for your home.
Estimate and Schedule
The cost of building and the schedule from beginning your new home construction project to moving in to your dream home varies with your priorities and plans. Most clients start the home building process with a budget in mind. WD Custom Homes is known for working with individual budgets and providing the highest quality to gain the most from your investment in your new custom home.
Prior to Construction
COST BREAKDOWN – We will secure hard bids for the entire construction process and review all of the hard costs with you. A notebook is created and maintained with all of the costs for the entire project.
PERMITS SECURED – Once the designing process is complete and the plans are in hand, we will secure the permits required to ‘break ground’.
BUILDING SITE MEETING – We will either follow you to your building site during the first initial meeting, or set up another time to meet at the proposed site.
ARCHITECT/DESIGNER MEETING – We will meet with you and an Architect/Designer to assist you in communicating your vision for your new home. A survey of the property will be beneficial for the design process.
